Andy Young-Professional Angler
Mound, MN
Born: 6/30/70
Andy caught his first fish at the age of 2 fishing off the reefs of Waikiki Beach. He hasn’t set his pole down since. He moved to Minnesota in 1980 and has fished all types of waters and caught all kinds of fish. But since 1996, he’s only had eyes for one: Bass. Andy started fishing Bass Tournaments in 1997 and has developed an impressive list of accomplishments, including 4 “Angler of the Year” titles and 3 “Tournament of Champions” victories (click here to view Andy’s records). He loves the friendly, fierce competition of bass tournaments and hopes to someday compete at the highest level of the sport. For now, Andy spends at least 150 days a year on the water and enjoys guiding on Lake Minnetonka, exploring new waters throughout the country and promoting his sponsors at fishing, sportsmen and boat shows.
